Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable surface.

  1. Clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides, especially the air intake and exhaust grilles.
  2. Room Size: Use in an enclosed area up to the recommended square footage for optimal performance.
  3. Temperature Range: Operate within the specified ambient temperature range for proper function.
  4. Power Source: Plug directly into a grounded 115V AC wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure the unit is upright before operating.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, allow the unit to stand upright for 24 hours if it was transported on its side.

  1. Install the bucket: Slide the empty water collection bucket into place until it clicks.
  2. Set humidity level: Press the HUMIDITY button to set your desired relative humidity (RH) level (typically between 35% and 80%).
  3. Select fan speed: Choose between HIGH (faster dehumidification) or LOW (quieter operation).
  4. For continuous drain: Connect a standard garden hose (¾” inner diameter) to the drain port at the back of the unit and route to a floor drain or suitable outlet.

CAUTION! Always handle the unit with care. Empty the bucket before it overflows.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the digital control panel.

Control Panel: POWER button, HUMIDITY +/- buttons, FAN SPEED button (High/Low), TIMER button, FILTER ALERT light, FULL BUCKET light, CONTROL LOCK button.

Settings: Set desired humidity level (35%-80%). Select fan speed (HIGH for maximum moisture removal, LOW for quiet operation). Use the 24-hour timer to program automatic on/off cycles. The CONTROL LOCK prevents accidental button presses. The FILTER ALERT light illuminates when the filter needs cleaning.

Operation Modes

Normal Dehumidification: Unit runs until the set humidity level is reached, then cycles on/off to maintain it.

Continuous Mode: Set humidity to its lowest setting (CONTINUOUS); the unit will run constantly until manually turned off or the bucket is full.

Timer Mode: Program the unit to start or stop after a delay of up to 24 hours.

  1. Press TIMER button.
  2. Use +/- buttons to set the delay in hours.
  3. The unit will turn off (or on) after the set time elapses.

Tip: Use CONTINUOUS mode for initial drying of a very damp space, then switch to a set humidity level for maintenance.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

  1. Cleaning the Air Filter: Remove the filter every two weeks or when the FILTER alert light is on. Rinse with lukewarm water and let air dry completely before reinstalling.
  2. Cleaning the Bucket: Empty and clean the water bucket regularly with a mild detergent to prevent mold/mildew. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and dry all parts completely. Coil the power cord. Store in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not operate without the filter installed.

Draining Options

Bucket Drain: Primary method. Unit will shut off when bucket is full. Empty bucket by lifting it out and pouring water down a drain.

Continuous Drain: For unattended operation.

  1. Ensure unit is unplugged and bucket is removed.
  2. Connect a standard ¾” garden hose to the drain port at the rear. Ensure hose is routed downward without kinks.
  3. Place the other end of the hose into a floor drain, sink, or sump pump.
  4. The unit will now drain automatically. The bucket full alert and auto-shutoff are disabled in this mode.

WARNING! Ensure the hose path is downhill to prevent water backflow.
