Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable floor surface.

  1. Choose Location: Place in the center of the room or area with high humidity, away from walls and furniture for optimal airflow.
  2. Check Clearance: Ensure at least 12-18 inches of clearance on all sides, especially the air intake and exhaust grilles.
  3. Level the Unit: Adjust feet if necessary to ensure the unit is level for proper bucket operation.
  4. Connect Drain Hose (Optional): For continuous drainage, attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain port at the rear.
  5. Plug into Power: Connect to a dedicated 115V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not install in areas where the temperature will fall below 41°F (5°C). Ensure the power outlet is grounded.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the dehumidifier; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Insert Bucket: Ensure the water collection bucket is correctly seated and clicks into place.
  2. Set Humidity Level: Press the HUMIDITY button to select your desired set point (e.g., 45-50%).
  3. Select Fan Speed: Choose between HIGH (faster dehumidification) or LOW (quieter operation).
  4. Set Timer (Optional): Use the TIMER buttons to program automatic start/stop times.
  5. Start Operation: Press the POWER button. The compressor will start after a short delay.

CAUTION! Allow the unit to sit upright for at least 24 hours if it was tilted or laid on its side during transport.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the electronic control panel on top of the unit.

Control Panel: POWER Button, HUMIDITY Up/Down Buttons, FAN SPEED Button, TIMER Buttons, BUCKET FULL Indicator, FILTER CHECK Indicator.

Humidity Control: Set target humidity from 35% to 85% in 5% increments. Fan Speed: Toggle between HIGH and LOW. Timer: Program from 1 to 24 hours for automatic shutdown or startup. Alerts: BUCKET FULL light illuminates and unit shuts off when bucket needs emptying. FILTER CHECK light reminds you to clean the air filter.

Operation Modes

Standard, Continuous, and Laundry Dry modes.

  1. Standard Mode: Unit runs until desired humidity is reached, then fan runs intermittently to maintain it.
  2. Continuous Mode: Unit runs continuously regardless of humidity level (press and hold FAN button for 3 sec). Ideal for very damp spaces or when using the drain hose.
  3. Laundry Dry Mode: Higher fan speed to help dry laundry in the same room (select HIGH fan speed).
  4. Auto Defrost: Automatically activates if frost builds up on coils in low temperatures; compressor cycles off until coils thaw.

Tip: For maximum efficiency, keep doors and windows closed in the room where the dehumidifier is operating.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Bucket: When the BUCKET FULL light comes on, remove, empty, and reinsert the bucket securely.
  2. Cleaning the Air Filter: Remove the filter every two weeks (or when FILTER CHECK light is on). Rinse under lukewarm water, let air dry completely, and reinstall.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  4. Cleaning the Bucket: Periodically wash the bucket with mild soap and water to prevent mold/mildew.
  5. End-of-Season Coil Cleaning: Gently vacuum the rear grille/coils to remove dust and lint for optimal performance.

WARNING! Never operate the unit without the air filter or water bucket properly installed.
