Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable surface.

  1. Clear the area: Ensure at least 12-18 inches of clearance on all sides for proper airflow.
  2. Check for level: Unit must be level for the bucket to seat correctly and for proper operation.
  3. Position near a drain: If using continuous drain, place within reach of a floor drain or sink.
  4. Plug into a dedicated 115V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not install in areas where temperature may fall below 41°F (5°C). Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Power on the dehumidifier; the digital display will illuminate.

  1. Insert the water collection bucket: Slide it fully into the unit until it clicks.
  2. Set the desired humidity: Use the UP/DOWN buttons to select a humidity level between 35% and 85%.
  3. Select fan speed: Press the FAN button to choose between High (faster dehumidification) and Low (quieter operation).
  4. For continuous drain: Attach a standard garden hose (¾” inner diameter) to the drain port at the back. Ensure the hose runs downhill to the drain.

CAUTION! Always handle the unit with care. Use two people if moving a long distance.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the front electronic control panel.

Control Panel: POWER, HUMIDITY SET (+/-), FAN SPEED, TIMER, FILTER RESET indicator.

Display: Shows current room humidity (%), set humidity (%), timer status, and alert icons (Full Bucket, Filter Check).

Timer: Program the unit to turn ON or OFF after a delay of 1 to 24 hours.

Auto Restart: If power is lost and restored, the unit will automatically restart with previous settings.

Operation Modes

Normal Dehumidification: Set your desired humidity level. The compressor and fan will run until the set humidity is reached, then cycle off.

Continuous Mode: Set humidity to the lowest setting (35%). The unit will run continuously until manually turned off or the bucket is full.

Fan Only Mode: Press and hold the FAN button for 3 seconds to run the fan without dehumidifying (for air circulation).

  1. For best efficiency, keep doors and windows closed.
  2. In very damp conditions, start with Continuous mode, then switch to a higher set point.
  3. Use the timer to run the unit during peak humidity hours (e.g., overnight).

Tip: Ideal relative humidity for comfort is between 45% and 50%.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Clean the Air Filter: Every 2-4 weeks, remove the filter, rinse with lukewarm water, and let air dry completely before reinstalling. Press the FILTER RESET button after cleaning.
  2. Empty the Water Bucket: When the FULL BUCKET light comes on, power off the unit, pull out the bucket, empty it, and slide it back in securely.
  3. Clean the Bucket: Periodically wash the bucket with mild soap and water to prevent mold or mildew. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  4. Clean the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

WARNING! Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance. Never operate without the filter or with a damaged bucket.

Draining Options

Bucket Collection: Standard method. Monitor the FULL BUCKET light.

Continuous Drain (Recommended):

  1. Ensure the unit is off and unplugged.
  2. Remove the bucket.
  3. Attach a standard ¾” garden hose to the drain port at the back. Ensure a tight connection.
  4. Route the hose to a floor drain, sink, or sump pump. The hose must run downhill without kinks.
  5. Replace the bucket. The unit will now drain continuously, and the bucket will not fill.

CAUTION! Do not block the drain port. Check the hose periodically for clogs.

Care & Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the water bucket. Let it air dry.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry.
  4. Coil the power cord neatly.
  5. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Do not store the unit in a location where temperatures may fall below freezing.
