  2. Clearance: Ensure at least 12-18 inches of clearance on all sides, especially around the air intake and exhaust grilles.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a grounded 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  4. Bucket Placement: Ensure the water collection bucket is correctly seated and locked into position.
  5. Continuous Drainage (Optional): Attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain port at the rear if using continuous drainage.

WARNING! Do not install in areas with temperatures below 41°F (5°C) or above 95°F (35°C). Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before first use if it was tilted during transport.

Drainage Options

Two methods for removing collected water: Manual via bucket or Continuous via hose.

  1. Manual Drainage (Bucket):
    • Unit will shut off when bucket is full ("Bucket Full" light on).
    • Grip bucket handle, pull straight out.
    • Empty water into a sink or drain.
    • Reinsert bucket firmly until it clicks into place.
  2. Continuous Drainage (Hose):
    • Turn off and unplug unit.
    • Remove the bucket.
    • Attach a standard garden hose (¾" inner diameter, not included) to the drain port at the rear.

    • Replace the bucket. The unit will now drain continuously; the bucket will not fill.

Tip: For continuous drainage, periodically check the hose for kinks or clogs.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Cleaning the Air Filter:
    • Unplug the unit.
    • Remove the filter (typically located behind the front grille).
    • Vacuum loose dust or rinse under lukewarm water. Let air dry completely.
    • Reinstall the dry filter.
    • Frequency: Clean every 2-4 weeks, or more often in dusty environments.
  2. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  3. Cleaning the Water Bucket: Periodically wash the bucket with mild soap and water to prevent mold or mildew. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. End-of-Season Care: If storing, follow the "Care & Storage" instructions below.

WARNING! Never operate the unit without the air filter installed. A dirty filter reduces efficiency and can damage the unit.

Care & Storage

If the unit will not be used for an extended period, prepare it for storage.

  1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
  2. Empty and thoroughly dry the water collection bucket.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry completely.
  4. For continuous drainage, detach and drain the hose.
  5. Coil the power cord neatly.
  6. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Do not store the unit in areas prone to freezing temperatures. Ensure it is completely dry inside to prevent mold growth.
