For optimal performance, follow these steps.

  1. Unplug the unit before any maintenance.
  2. Clean Air Filter: Remove filter every 2 weeks (or when FILTER light is on). Rinse under lukewarm water, let dry completely, and reinstall.
  3. Clean Exterior: Wipe cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Clean Water Bucket: Empty and wash bucket with mild detergent monthly to prevent mold/mildew.
  5. End-of-Season Storage: Empty bucket, clean unit, coil, and filter. Cover and store in a dry place.

CAUTION! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not use chemicals on the filter.

Drainage Options

Two methods for water removal: manual bucket or continuous drain.

  1. Manual Bucket: Use the provided 16-pint bucket. Empty when FULL light comes on.
  2. Continuous Drain:
    • Locate the drain port on the back of the unit.
    • Remove the port cap.
    • Connect a standard 5/8" ID garden hose (not included). Ensure hose runs downward to floor drain or sink.
    • Bucket must be in place for hose connection to work.

Note: For continuous drain, the unit must be level and the hose free of kinks.
