Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a suitable location for operation.

  1. Place on a level, stable surface away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Ensure the unit is at least 12 inches from walls, curtains, or other obstructions.
  3. Place in the center of the room or area with the highest humidity for best results.
  4. Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  5. Ensure the power cord can reach a grounded outlet without stretching.

WARNING! Do not place in tight spaces or block air intake/exhaust grilles. Ensure the unit is upright before operating.

First-Time Setup

Prepare the dehumidifier for initial use.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tape from the unit and bucket.
  2. Install the washable air filter by sliding it into the front grille.
  3. Insert the empty water bucket securely until it clicks into place.
  4. Plug the power cord into a dedicated 115V AC, 60Hz grounded outlet.
  5. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  6. Set desired humidity level using the UP/DOWN buttons (recommended 45-50%).
  7. Select fan speed (HIGH or LOW) based on your needs.

CAUTION! Do not operate without the filter installed. Allow the unit to stand upright for 24 hours if it was tilted during transport.

Drainage Options

Two methods for water removal: manual bucket emptying or continuous drainage.

  1. Manual Bucket: Unit will shut off when bucket is full. Remove bucket by pulling straight out. Empty water and replace securely.
  2. Continuous Drain: Remove bucket. Attach a standard garden hose (¾" inner diameter, not included) to the drain port at the back. Route hose to floor drain or suitable outlet. Ensure hose has downward slope without kinks.

Tip: For continuous operation, use the drain hose option. Check hose connection periodically for leaks.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures efficiency and longevity.

  1. Air Filter: Clean every 2 weeks or when FILTER light comes on. Remove filter, rinse with warm water, let dry completely before reinstalling.
  2. Water Bucket: Empty and clean monthly with mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Grilles and Coils: Use a vacuum with brush attachment to remove dust from intake and exhaust grilles annually.
  5. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and clean bucket. Run unit in FAN mode for 24 hours to dry internal components. Coil power cord and store in a dry place.
