Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Clean Filter: Remove and wash filter every 2 weeks or when FILTER light illuminates. Use warm water and mild detergent. Air dry completely before reinstalling.
  2. Empty Water Tank: Empty tank regularly or connect continuous drain hose. Clean tank monthly with mild detergent.
  3. Clean Exterior: Wipe cabinet with soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Check Air Vents: Keep front and rear vents clear of obstructions.
  5. Off-Season Storage: Empty and clean tank, clean filter, wrap cord, and store in dry location.

WARNING! Always unplug unit before cleaning. Never immerse unit in water.

Water Drainage Options

Two methods for water removal.

  1. Manual Drainage: Use removable water tank. Empty when FULL indicator lights or tank is full (approximately every 1-2 days depending on humidity).
  2. Continuous Drainage: Connect 5/8" ID hose to drain port (hose not included). Place hose end in floor drain or suitable drainage area. Unit will drain automatically without tank removal.

CAUTION! Ensure continuous drain hose is properly connected and free of kinks. Place drain outlet lower than drain port for proper flow.
