Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on level, stable surface.

  1. Choose location: Place in center of room or area with moisture problem, away from walls/furniture (minimum 12 inches clearance).
  2. Check air circulation: Ensure air intake and exhaust grilles are unobstructed.
  3. Install drain hose (optional): Attach 5/8" ID hose to continuous drain outlet for gravity drainage.
  4. Plug into dedicated 115V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not place in closets or enclosed spaces. Ensure proper ventilation for optimal performance.

First-Time Setup

Power on dehumidifier; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Insert water bucket: Ensure bucket is fully seated and locked in place.
  2. Set humidistat: Turn knob to desired humidity level (recommended 45-50% for comfort).
  3. Select fan speed: Choose HIGH or LOW setting based on room size and moisture level.
  4. For continuous drain: Connect hose and ensure proper downward slope for water flow.

CAUTION! Handle with care when moving; use caster wheels. Do not operate without air filter installed.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Control Panel: Power Switch, Humidistat Knob, Fan Speed Selector, Full Bucket Indicator Light.

Operation: POWER to turn on/off. HUMIDISTAT to set target humidity level. FAN SPEED for High (quick moisture removal) or Low (quiet operation).

Settings: Auto Restart function resumes previous settings after power interruption. Bucket Full Indicator lights red and unit shuts off when bucket needs emptying. Defrost Cycle automatically activates in low temperatures to prevent coil freezing.

Operation Modes

Normal Mode: Runs continuously until target humidity is reached, then cycles on/off to maintain level. Continuous Mode: Runs constantly regardless of humidity (for very damp areas).

  1. Turn Power Switch to ON position.
  2. Set Humidistat to desired level (start at 50%).
  3. Select Fan Speed (HIGH for faster dehumidification).
  4. Unit will run until bucket is full or target humidity reached.

Tip: Close windows and doors for most efficient operation. Use in rooms with temperature above 41°F.

Water Removal & Drainage

Two drainage options: Manual bucket emptying or Continuous drain.

  1. Bucket Method: Unit automatically shuts off when bucket is full. Remove bucket by lifting handle, empty water, replace securely.
  2. Continuous Drain: Attach 5/8" ID hose to drain outlet. Ensure hose runs downward to floor drain or sink. Unit will drain continuously without needing bucket emptying.
  3. Check Drainage: Ensure hose is not kinked and has proper slope for gravity flow.

WARNING! Do not move unit with full water bucket. Empty bucket promptly to prevent overflow.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug before maintenance. Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Air Filter: Clean every 2 weeks. Remove filter, wash with warm soapy water, rinse, dry completely before reinstalling.
  2. Water Bucket: Clean monthly with mild detergent to prevent mold/mildew. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth only; no harsh chemicals.
  4. Grilles and Coils: Vacuum gently to remove dust buildup every 3 months.

CAUTION! Never immerse unit in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Activates when bucket is full or not properly seated. Tip-Over Switch: Turns unit off if tipped beyond 45 degrees. Overload Protection: Built-in circuit breaker protects motor. Low-Temperature Operation: Auto-defrost cycle prevents coil freezing.
