Installation & Placement

First-Time Setup

Tip: For energy efficiency, use Auto Mode with a humidity setting between 45% and 55%.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Bucket: Pull bucket out, pour water down drain, reinsert firmly until it clicks.
  2. Cleaning the Filter: Remove filter every 2 weeks or as needed. Rinse with warm water and let dry completely before reinstalling.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and clean bucket and filter. Run unit in Fan Only mode for a few hours to dry the coil. Coil the power cord and store in a dry place.

WARNING! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not operate without the filter, as this can damage the coil.

Drainage Options

Two methods for removing collected water.

  1. Manual (Bucket): Default method. Monitor BUCKET FULL light and empty when illuminated.
  2. Continuous Drain:
    • Locate the drain outlet on the back of the unit.
    • Remove the drain plug and store it safely.
    • Connect a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included).
    • Route the hose to a floor drain or sink. Ensure the hose has a downward slope.
    • The bucket must remain in place even when using continuous drain.

CAUTION! For continuous drain, ensure the hose is not kinked and the drain path is clear to prevent overflow.
