Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable floor.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tape.
  2. Ensure unit is upright for at least 24 hours before plugging in if it was tilted during transport.
  3. Place the dehumidifier in the center of the room, at least 12 inches away from walls and furniture for proper air circulation.
  4. Ensure the room temperature is between 41°F (5°C) and 89°F (32°C) for optimal operation.
  5. Plug the power cord directly into a grounded 115V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use an extension cord. Ensure the outlet is not controlled by a wall switch.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the unit; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Set desired humidity: Press the HUMIDITY button to select a setting between 35% and 85%.
  2. Select fan speed: Press the FAN button to choose between High and Low speed.
  3. For continuous drainage: Attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain port at the back. Ensure the hose runs downhill to a floor drain or suitable outlet.
  4. Check the filter: Ensure the washable filter is clean and properly installed.

CAUTION! Handle the water bucket with care to avoid spills. Do not operate without the filter installed.

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the electronic control panel on top of the unit.

Control Panel: POWER button, HUMIDITY +/- buttons, FAN SPEED button, TIMER button, FILTER RESET indicator, FULL BUCKET indicator.

Operation: Press POWER to turn on. Use HUMIDITY buttons to set target RH%. Press FAN to toggle between High (faster dehumidification) and Low (quieter operation). Use TIMER to set automatic shut-off or start delay (1-24 hours). The digital display shows current room humidity and setpoints.

Indicators: FILTER RESET light illuminates when the air filter needs cleaning. FULL BUCKET light illuminates and unit shuts off when the water bucket is full.

Operation Modes

Normal Dehumidification: Unit runs until the set humidity level is reached, then cycles on/off to maintain it.

Continuous Mode: Set humidity to its lowest setting (35%) for continuous operation regardless of room humidity.

Timer Mode: Program the unit to turn off after a set number of hours, or to delay start.

  1. Press TIMER. The timer icon will blink.
  2. Use the HUMIDITY +/- buttons to set the hours (1-24).
  3. Press TIMER again to confirm. The unit will count down and shut off (or start) automatically.

Tip: Use Continuous mode in very damp conditions like basements after flooding.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Water Bucket: Pull the bucket straight out when the FULL light comes on. Carry it horizontally to a sink, pour out water, and reinsert firmly until it clicks.
  2. Cleaning the Air Filter: Remove the filter every two weeks or when the FILTER light is on. Rinse under lukewarm water, let air dry completely, and reinstall.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. End-of-Season Cleaning: Run the unit in Fan Only mode (set humidity to 85%) for a few hours to dry the coil before storage.

WARNING! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not operate without the filter.

Drainage Options

Option 1: Manual Bucket Emptying (Default). Use the removable bucket. The unit will shut off automatically when full.

Option 2: Continuous Drainage

  1. Unplug the unit. Remove the water bucket.
  2. Locate the drain port on the back of the unit.
  3. Insert the rubber drain cap (included) into the drain hose connector.
  4. Attach a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included). Ensure the hose runs downhill without kinks.
  5. Replace the empty water bucket. The unit will now drain continuously and the bucket will not fill.

Tip: For basement use, continuous drainage is recommended.

Care & Storage

If not using for an extended period:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and dry the water bucket completely.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry.
  4. Run the unit in Fan mode for a few hours to dry the interior.
  5. Coil the power cord and secure it in the storage area.
  6. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Do not store the unit outdoors or in areas prone to freezing temperatures.
