Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable surface.

  1. Clearance: Allow at least 12-18 inches of clearance on all sides for proper airflow.
  2. Surface: Place on a flat, level floor. Do not place on carpet.
  3. Environment: Operate in temperatures between 41°F (5°C) and 90°F (32°C).
  4. Power: Plug directly into a grounded 115V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before first use if it was tilted during transport.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the unit; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Bucket Installation: Ensure the water collection bucket is correctly seated and locked in place.
  2. Set Humidity Level: Press the HUMIDITY button to set your desired relative humidity (35% - 85%). The unit will run until this level is reached.
  3. Select Fan Speed: Press the FAN button to choose between HIGH and LOW speed.
  4. Timer Setup (Optional): Use the TIMER button to program automatic start/stop times.
  5. Direct Drain (Optional): Attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain port at the back for continuous drainage.

CAUTION! Handle the bucket with care to avoid spills. Do not operate without the filter installed.

Continuous Mode: Hold the HUMIDITY DOWN button for 3 seconds to run continuously regardless of room humidity.

Auto Defrost: Activates automatically in low temperatures. The DEFROST light will illuminate during this cycle.

Operation Modes

Normal Dehumidification: Unit runs until set humidity is reached, then fan runs intermittently to monitor conditions.

Continuous Drain Mode:

  1. Turn unit OFF and unplug.
  2. Remove bucket and attach a standard 5/8" garden hose to the drain port at the back.
  3. Route hose to a floor drain or suitable outlet.
  4. Replace bucket. The unit will now drain continuously; the bucket full alert is disabled.

Timer Mode: Set delayed start or stop for energy savings.

Tip: For best efficiency, keep doors and windows closed in the room being dehumidified.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Bucket: When the BUCKET FULL light comes on, remove the bucket, pour out water, and replace it securely.
  2. Cleaning the Filter: The FILTER ALERT light will illuminate every 250 hours of operation.
    • Remove the filter from the back of the unit.
    • Vacuum or rinse with lukewarm water. Let air dry completely.
    • Reinstall the filter and press the FILTER button to reset the alert.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and dry the bucket. Clean the filter. Coil the power cord. Store in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not operate without the air filter.

Drainage Options

Bucket Collection: Standard method. Monitor the BUCKET FULL light.

Continuous Drain: Recommended for unattended operation or high-humidity areas.

  1. Ensure the unit is OFF and unplugged.
  2. Remove the bucket to access the drain port.
  3. Connect a standard garden hose (not included). Ensure hose runs downhill without kinks.
  4. Replace the bucket. The unit will now drain automatically.

Note: The bucket must remain in place even when using continuous drain.
