Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on level, stable surface.

  1. Position the unit: Allow at least 12-18 inches of clearance on all sides for proper airflow.
  2. Install the filter: Ensure washable filter is properly seated in the front grille.
  3. Check the bucket: Ensure the water bucket is correctly inserted and locked in place.
  4. Plug into a dedicated 115V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before first use if it was tilted during transport.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the dehumidifier; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Set the humidistat: Press the HUMIDITY button to set your desired room humidity level (recommended 45-50%).
  2. Select fan speed: Choose between HIGH (faster dehumidification) or LOW (quieter operation).
  3. Choose mode: Select CONTINUOUS for constant operation or AUTO for humidistat-controlled operation.
  4. For continuous drainage: Attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain port at the back.

CAUTION! Always handle the water bucket with care to avoid spills. Empty bucket before it becomes too heavy.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access controls via the digital control panel on top of the unit.

Control Panel: POWER button, HUMIDITY +/- buttons, FAN SPEED button (High/Low), MODE button (Continuous/Auto), FILTER ALERT light, FULL BUCKET light.

Humidity Setting: Adjust between 35% and 85% in 5% increments. Fan Speed: HIGH for maximum moisture removal, LOW for quiet operation. Mode: CONTINUOUS runs constantly; AUTO turns compressor on/off based on humidistat setting. Alerts: FILTER light indicates when to clean the filter; FULL BUCKET light illuminates when bucket needs emptying.

Connecting Drainage

For unattended operation, use the continuous drain option.

  1. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Remove the water bucket.
  3. Locate the drain port on the back of the unit.
  4. Connect a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included) to the port.
  5. Route the hose to a floor drain, sink, or sump pump.
  6. Ensure the hose has a downward slope with no kinks.
  7. Replace the bucket (it must remain in place even when using continuous drain).

Tip: The continuous drain option disables the auto shut-off feature for the bucket. The unit will run until turned off or the desired humidity is reached.

Operation Modes

Supports AUTO and CONTINUOUS dehumidification.

  1. AUTO Mode: Unit cycles on and off to maintain the set humidity level. The compressor runs when humidity is above the set point and shuts off when it reaches the set point.
  2. CONTINUOUS Mode: Unit runs constantly regardless of humidity level until turned off or the bucket is full (if not using continuous drain).
  3. Fan Only: Not available as a standalone mode, but fan runs continuously in both AUTO and CONTINUOUS modes when the compressor is off.
  4. Defrost Cycle: In cold environments (below 65°F), the unit may enter an automatic defrost cycle. The fan may run but the compressor will temporarily turn off.

WARNING! Do not operate below 41°F as the evaporator coil may freeze. For colder spaces, consider a low-temperature dehumidifier.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

Clean the Air Filter: Every 2-4 weeks, remove the filter, rinse with warm water, and let dry completely before reinstalling. Press the FILTER RESET button after cleaning.
Empty the Water Bucket: Regularly empty the bucket to prevent overflow. Clean the bucket with mild detergent monthly.
Clean the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
End-of-Season Storage: Empty and clean the bucket, clean the filter, coil, and housing. Coil the power cord and store the unit in a cool, dry place.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before any cleaning or maintenance. Use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not use gasoline, thinners, or other chemicals for cleaning. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly and use.
