Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable floor.

  1. Choose Location: Place in the center of the room or area needing dehumidification, away from walls and furniture for optimal airflow.
  2. Clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides, especially around the air intake and exhaust grilles.
  3. Level Surface: Unit must be level for proper bucket seating and operation.
  4. Ambient Temperature: Operate in temperatures between 41°F (5°C) and 90°F (32°C) for best performance.
  5. Power Connection: Plug directly into a grounded 115V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not install in closets, laundry rooms, or other confined spaces without adequate ventilation. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the unit; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Insert Water Bucket: Slide the empty collection bucket firmly into place until it clicks.
  2. Set Humidity Level: Press the "Humidity Set" button to select desired room humidity (typically between 35% and 80%).
  3. Select Fan Speed: Choose between HIGH (faster dehumidification) or LOW (quieter operation).
  4. Auto-Restart: After a power interruption, the unit will automatically restart with previous settings.
  5. Timer Setup (Optional): Use the TIMER buttons to program daily operation cycles.

CAUTION! Handle the water bucket with care. Always turn off and unplug the unit before removing the bucket.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Access all functions via the electronic control panel on top of the unit.

Control Panel: POWER button, HUMIDITY SET buttons (+/-), FAN SPEED button (High/Low), TIMER buttons (On/Off), FILTER ALERT indicator, BUCKET FULL indicator.

Basic Operation: Press POWER to turn on. Use HUMIDITY SET to choose target humidity (display shows current room humidity). The compressor and fan will cycle on/off automatically to maintain the set level. The BUCKET FULL light will illuminate and the unit will shut off when the bucket needs emptying.

Timer Function: Set the TIMER ON to delay start, or TIMER OFF to schedule automatic shutdown. Settings adjust in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures efficiency and longevity.

  1. Emptying the Bucket: When the BUCKET FULL light comes on, power off, unplug, and pull the bucket straight out. Empty water, dry the interior, and reinsert firmly.
  2. Cleaning the Air Filter: The FILTER ALERT light will illuminate every 250 hours of operation. Remove the filter, wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and let dry completely before reinstalling.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. Cleaning the Bucket: Periodically clean the bucket with a mild detergent to prevent mold or mildew growth. Rinse thoroughly.

Tip: Always ensure the unit is unplugged before performing any maintenance.

Draining Options

Supports both manual (bucket) and continuous draining.

  1. Manual Draining (Bucket): Default method. Monitor the BUCKET FULL indicator.
  2. Continuous Draining:
    • Locate the drain hose outlet on the back of the unit.
    • Remove the outlet cap and store it.
    • Connect a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included). Ensure hose runs downward to floor drain or sink.
    • For proper drainage, the unit must be level and the hose must have a steady downward slope with no kinks.

WARNING! When using continuous drain, the bucket must remain in place. Do not run the unit without the bucket installed.

Energy Saving Tips

Use the TIMER to run the dehumidifier only when needed (e.g., during daytime or most humid hours). Set the humidity level to 50-55% for comfort and efficiency; lower settings increase energy use. Keep doors and windows closed in the room being dehumidified. Ensure the air filter is clean for unrestricted airflow.

Care & Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

  1. Unplug the power cord.
  2. Empty and thoroughly dry the water bucket.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry.
  4. Run the unit in FAN ONLY mode for 24 hours in a warm room to dry the internal components.
  5. Coil the power cord and store the unit upright in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Never store the unit on its side or upside down, as this may cause oil migration from the compressor.
